Chris Stirewalt is a political columnist and author, who became political editor at NewsNation in May of 2022.
A former political editor for FOX News Channel, he is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), where he focuses on American politics, public opinion, and the media. Additionally, Stirewalt serves as a contributing editor and columnist for The Dispatch and cohosts a media criticism podcast, Ink Stained Wretches.
He is the author of the national bestseller Broken News: How the Media Rage Machine Divides America and How to Fight Back and Every Man a King in which he looks at American populism through the lives of seven famous populists.
