John Ferracane

John Ferracane oversees all live daily programming at NewsNation.  In his day-to-day, John is working with each of the shows across all dayparts seven days a week to make sure they are all delivering the freshest, most compelling, and relevant news for viewers at every moment.  John also leads the production and new program development efforts as NewsNation grows and expands its line-up across the board.  One of John’s passions is recruiting and helping talent grow on both sides of the camera.

Prior to joining NewsNation in May of 2021, John was Showrunner for a revival of America’s Most Wanted on Fox.  He also executive produced live and topical programs for Vice and YouTube Originals in Los Angeles.  Prior to that, John spent five years as Executive Broadcast Producer at ABC’s Good Morning America in New York.  But John’s roots are in local news; he spent a dozen years as a newscast Producer and Executive Producer in four different markets including Detroit and Miami.

John grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and earned his bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.  John splits his time living between NewsNation headquarters in Chicago and Los Angeles where he has a home with his wife, Linzie Janis.  John is a proud shareholder of the Green Bay Packers, he loves to cook and hike and is always in search of a new place to buy vintage vinyl.
