Latest in 'Rust' shooting, Britney Spears turns ire toward mother, celebrities and COVID

CHICAGO(NewsNation Now) — On Wednesday, lawyers for the armorer on Alec Baldwin’s film “Rust” unloaded a shocking claim: It might have been murder.

Jim Moret, chief correspondent for “Inside Edition” and entertainment lawyer Dominic Romano join “Banfield” to discuss the on-set shooting.

Much of Britney Spears’ ire for her 13-year long conservatorship fell squarely on her father, Jamie. Her scathing condemnation of him gave the world a glance at just how ruptured their relationship was.

But it turns out Britney was just getting started and had lots more in the tank for her mother, Lynne. She posted a diatribe on her Instagram before deleting it.

Rob Shuter, former publicist for Jessica Simpson, and legal expert Susan Filan discuss the new chapter in the saga.

Just when the country thought we were turning a corner with COVID-19, it rears its ugly head again. This week, some of the biggest names in entertainment, sports and politics have tested positive.

Singer Ed Sheeran, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Khloe Kardashian and White House press secretary Jen Psaki are among those who’ve recently announced they have the virus.

If these people living in their celebrity bubbles aren’t safe, what does that say for the rest of us? Or does it just mean the coronavirus is here to stay?

Dr. Ian Smith from the show “The Doctors” and a former member of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition joins “Banfield” to discuss.
