Jury selection begins in Ahmaud Arbery death trial; hiker mistaken for Brian Laundrie

NEW YORK (NewsNation Now) —  Jury selection began Monday in the trial of the three men accused of confronting and shooting to death 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery in February 2020. But already, some civil rights lawyers are calling for a guilty verdict. Attorney Gerald Griggs joins “Dan Abrams Live” to discuss how their behavior could taint the jury pool.  

Some Republicans in Georgia are now saying they plan to sit out the 2022 midterm election, according to a new poll. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump is threatening to keep his supporters at home. Robert Cahaly weighs in on the possible impact. He is the founder of the Trafalgar Group, an organization that has been more accurate in tracking Trump voters than many others. They correctly predicted Trump’s 2016 election win.

The manhunt for Brian Laundrie has taken a wild turn, with a lookalike saying he was handcuffed and questioned. NewsNation’s Brian Entin joins the show live with the latest update on the search for Laundrie.
