AC/DC confirms ‘Pwr Up’ reunion

(NewsNation Now) — AC/DC has confirmed their comeback. The iconic rock band hinted at a new album with an announcement on social media Wednesday.

The band tweeted “ARE YOU READY?” with the hashtag #PWRUP and a photo of the reunited members. The photo features the return of lead vocalist Brian Johnson, bassist Cliff Williams, drummer Phil Rudd, alongside rhythm guitarist Stevie Young and lead guitarist Angus Young.

The phrase “Pwr Up” is apparently the title of a new album, although the official announcement does not say when it may be coming. The band also has a ‘Pwr Up’ website dedicated to the comeback. Fans can sign up for updates and purchase merchandise.

AC/DC was formed in Sydney, Australia in 1973 by Young and his brother Malcolm. The band has sold more than 200 million records worldwide. Their last joint album, “Rock or Bust,” released in 2014.

No tour dates have been announced yet.
