(NewsNation) — Morning radio host Scott Shannon is set to retire after a decades-long career.
Shannon is considered one of the creators of the morning radio show format that includes chatting hosts, listener call-in segments, contests, prank calls and other shenanigans.
Having spent most of his career in New York City, Shannon is finally going to get a chance to sleep in as he retires from role as morning host at WCBS on Friday.
