New, more contagious strain of coronavirus fuels spike in Southern California cases

On Monday, California became the first state to surpass 3 million cases of COVID-19, less than a month after surpassing 2 million right around Christmas. According to new research from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, yet another new variant strain has fueled the spike in Southern California. NewsNation’s Nancy Loo reports.
