Video shows maskless flash mob marching through Florida Target chanting ‘take off your mask’

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (NewsNation Now) – A maskless flash mob popped up at a south Florida Target Tuesday, and it was all captured on video.

The group blasted the song “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” and asked shoppers to remove their masks. The video, obtained by NewsNation affiliate WFLA, was provided by Chris Nelson.

Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider took to social media to condemn those seen in the video without masks. In a tweet Wednesday, Snider called the stunt “moronic,” and shared a video that was recorded by an upset customer inside the Target at Coral Ridge Mall in Fort Lauderdale. The video had more than 30 million views.

Broward County, where the Target was located, has mandated the use of face coverings in businesses due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, masks prevent the spread of coronavirus among others and should be worn in public settings when social distancing is difficult.

Florida added 2,355 coronavirus cases Wednesday to push the statewide total to 671,201 infected. There were 152 new virus fatalities reported statewide Wednesday, pushing the death toll among Florida residents to 12,939.
