Solano County, Calif. (News Nation) — A couple in California needed to be rescued Monday morning after starting some beef with a mother cow and her calf.

The elderly couple had fallen after being chased by the cow at Lynch Canyon Regional Park, located northeast of San Francisco. When a California Highway Patrol Golden Gate Division Air Operations helicopter arrived, the cow and a calf were feet away from the couple.

Using the helicopter’s alarm, the highway patrol officers were able to scare them off.

The couple were taken to a hospital for injuries.
