Estimated 4,000 homeless veterans in L.A. in need of permanent housing


LOS ANGELES (NewsNation Now) — Despite their service, thousands of veterans across the country are struggling to put a roof over their head as the need for permanent housing continues to grow.

It’s a stark reminder of the realities that face veterans experiencing homelessness face — not just on Veterans Day — but every day of the year.

A homeless camp has been set up right outside of a VA Hospital in Los Angeles as a peaceful protest to bring awareness to the dire situation.
