On April 8, 2023, the body of 32-year-old Joanna Speaks was found in a rural area near Portland, Oregon. Six women have been found dead within 100 miles of Portland in recent months, but Speaks is the only case that has been officially ruled a homicide at this time. Police are urging caution as people in Portland, Oregon, wonder if a serial killer is on the loose. Six women have been found dead within a 100-mile radius of Portland over the past three months. All of the victims are in their 20s and 30s, their bodies found in rural wooded areas. One of the women has yet to be identified. The investigator whose work led to the Golden State Killer's identification and arrest joins "Banfield" to discuss similarities in the cases. The sheriff’s office in Bexar County, Texas, filed a criminal case with the county’s district attorney over a 2022 incident in which 49 migrants were flown from San Antonio to Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., the office told The Hill.
