Miles Yu, a senior fellow and director of the China Center at the Hudson Institute and professor of East Asia at the U.S. Naval Academy, said China's espionage on American campuses is just the "tip of the iceberg."

"China's surveillance over America is just massive and comprehensive. From not only in an open arena like campuses but also cyber, artificial intelligence, and space," Yu said.
