Astronauts from US and Russia launch to International Space Station
Three astronauts, one from the U.S. and two from Russia, successfully launched aboard a Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station early Wednesday.
The mission is the last scheduled Russian flight carrying a U.S. crew member. It’s also the first time using a fast-track maneuver to try to reach the orbiting outpost in just three hours. It’s previously taken twice as long for crews to reach the station.
